Kelly Garofolo told us the the backstory of a locally owned business. After attending a truffle cooking class in 2012, Kelly & Grant Garofolo decided to explore making truffles at home. They discovered the satisfaction of this project and decided to start a business specializing in making caramels the old fashioned and handmade way. She shared samples! Mary Robnett took office as the elected Pierce County Prosecuting Attorney in 2019. She first joined the prosecutor’s office in 1994 and worked her way up to Chief Criminal Deputy. Prior to that, Robnett spent 10 years in the Special Assault Unit, which spurred her longtime involvement with the Sexual Assault Center of Pierce County. She has prosecuted many prominent cases, including the Zina Linnik homicide, the Parkland Rapist, and Edgewood’s Craigslist murderers. She has also served in the Sexually Violent Predators unit of the State Attorney General’s Office.
